The state of North Dakota and the North Dakota Active Transportation Alliance (NDATA) are pleased to announce the sixth annual North Dakota Share the Road Safety Week. During this week we invite North Dakotans to celebrate safe bicycling and walking on North Dakota roadways.

We believe that the only acceptable number of deaths on North Dakota’s roadways is zero. We are excited about North Dakota’s commitment to Vision Zero and believe that Share the Road Week is an opportunity to revisit safety strategies and principles that will keep bicyclists and pedestrians safe.

Vision Zero seeks to eliminate crash fatalities and serious injuries for all roadway users – including bicyclists and pedestrians. For more information about Vision Zero strategies please visit the State of North Dakota’s Vision Zero page at https://visionzero.nd.gov/

About the North Dakota Active Transportation Alliance (NDATA)

NDATA is the state’s only statewide non-profit organization advocating for safer roadways specifically for bicyclists and pedestrians. We are working with NDDOT and many other allies to make walking and bicycling safer and more convenient throughout the State. Through messaging, face to face meetings, educational opportunities and legislative action, NDATA is changing beliefs, attitudes and infrastructure for bicycling and walking throughout North Dakota.
